Celebrating International Day of Women and Girls in Science

Science and the world flourishes when girls and women are given the same opportunities as boys and men to explore, expand and excel in all areas of science. We know this from studies and data on diversity in teams working in scientific, and other sectors. And at INWES, our members and our work, such as the Gender In Science and Engineering (GISE) Index tells us that there is still much to do to reach gender equity in STEM.

We want to celebrate our members, particularly the universities, institutions that are educating the next generation of young women scientists and developing women leaders in STEM. Do share with us your events and celebrations for 11 February 2024 - the 9th International Day for Women and Girls in Science. Tag your posts with #INWES #IDWGS24

At INWES we are planning new programmes for #future generations in STEM and we are developing #WomenInSTEM #leaders. These areas of focus are both essential to sustainability, and of course to stability and a happier and more peaceful world.
